It is wise before you leave for a long journey, and also as your daily commute will need to make certain proper but necessary checks in order to protect your vehicle from damages which may harm your wallet.

We advise you the following easy, quick but important checks in small regular intervals :

Oil Level

Make sure your vehicle is parked on a road without slope and your engine is cold. Pull the dipstick and check  the oil level. You need to find the maximum position (Max) or at least level above the minimum position (Min). Positions are determined either with two pilot holes or two lines.

If  there is a need for addition oil, consult your technical manual of your vehicle or your mechanic. Do not leave the engine running when the oil level is in Min position.

Brake fluid and Water radiator fluid
The level of the water radiator and the brake cylider should be in the maximum position (Max). The liquid (oil) for the brakes must be predetermined by the manufacturer, consult  technical manual of your car while fluid radiators  should be a liquid with anti freeze  ingredients which can be found at service stations.
In extensive cases  use distilled water.

Tyre pressures
Your tires are losing  air pressure due to the weather conditions of your driving style.(climbing pavements, bumps, etc.). Each tire pressure on each axis of your vehicle vary with each manufacturer. Refer to the pressure list from the special label which is sticked on your vehicle (the driver’s door, trunk or glove compartment). Improper pressure in your tires will cause tire wear as it will not evenly touching the road.

Windshield wipers and fluid
Make sure your wipers are in good condition, to make it easier in case of rain. Also, it is necessary to fill the wiper tank.

Additional  and emergency vehicle equipment
Always have emergency vehicle equipment and check their condition regularly. Such as  power cables , a pharmacy,  warning triangle and a small fire extinguisher. Additionally it would be wise to have a bottle of water and a flashlight in emergency cases.
